Many Rugby enthusiasts will not have missed the news that former All Black Dan Carter, aged 44, is coming out of retirement to play grass roots rugby for the 150th jubilee of the Southbridge Rugby Club.

We are also delighted to announce that the former All Black has recently agreed to join the Gothenburg Rugby Club coaching staff as coaching player for the next year.

Following the Jubilee and Golden Oldies games this Sunday, Dan Carter will fly to Sweden in the next days with the intent to keep sharing his tremendous knowledge and experience to support grass roots in a new Rugby landscape. The international fly-half has agreed to stay until the end of the 2027 season, to celebrate the 20 years jubilee of the Gothenburg Rugby Club.

Please join us to welcome Dan to the club during the first home game of the season, on the 2nd of May.
